Yangon – Kyaing Tong (Akha, Lahu and Palaung tribes) -Yangon (6 days / 5 nights)

Day 01: Yangon arrival & sightseeing (by car)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by Young Top Tycoon Tourism representative and our tour guide. Check in hotel. Yangon sightseeing includes; the Royal Park , one of the most popular green spaces in the downtown area of Yangon. Here you see the glittering Karaweik Barge , a replica of the Royal Bridge and enjoy the view over the lake up to the Shwedagon Pagoda. Visit to the city center with the gilded 2500 years Sule Pagoda.And visit colonial style buildings surrounding Mahabandula Park . Proceed toChaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda to see 70-meters long colossal reclining Buddha. Then drive to stroll through a narrow street of China Town including the short visit to Tao Temple. Then, shortly before sunset, the 107 meters high golden stupa ofShwedagon Pagoda will glitter in the soft light of the early evening.

Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 02: Yangon –Kyaing Tong (by flight & car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for flight to the Kyaing Tong. Arrival in Kyaing Tong, starts with theMaha Myat Muni pagoda, housing Mandalay style Buddha image. Proceed to Shan Tourists who are fond of lacquer ware can purchase desirable lacquer ware of high quality. Then, visit image (the place where Kyaing Tong was founded about one thousand year ago) , Hot spa, Akha R.C.M church. Sunset on the lone tree Hill where a lone, 245 years old Kanyin byu and come back village “Yan Gone” to observe the handicraft eastern pots of Shan Tribe. Overnight at Hotel in Kyaing Tong.

 

 

Day 03: Kyaing Tong sightseeing (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, take the car about 45 minutes for a hiking tour into the Pin Tauk area. Lush forest with a view to the plain rice fields looking like a huge, green patchwork blanket. Visit the village Enn tribes. Some are haptized, some tribes still animists. The Enn are an ethnic group which tourist particularly interesting labeling them the“Blank Teeth”. The walk is not difficult and can be done slow the higher slopes. They have distinctively different costumes and beliefs from the other tribes. It will take hours to visit the villages.Take lunch at Pin Tauk water-fall. After that, proceed to Wang Kang village and we could see the traditional liquor production and then if we have time, we can start to Wan Ha village to see the Tiles production but we could see in November to April.

Late afternoon, come back to the hotel and overnight in Kyaing Tong.

Day 04: Akha- Lahu- Palaung (Kyaing Tong villages) (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, drive approx. 45 min to Kong Ma (Akha) village, there is hiking 3 hours to Lahu Shi(KWI)villages. Black Lahu and Red Lahu are the Trekking through forests. Valleys and gorges is very fascinating. After, you come back from Lahushi then start to Wan Pauk (Palaung) tribe are Silver (Palaungs.) A branch of the same tribe, locally called Gold Palung lives in Northern Shan State.

After that, return back to Hotel in Kyaing Tong.

 

 

Day 05: Kyaing Tong - Yangon (by car & flight)

After breakfast at hotel, morning visit to central market which bustles daily from 6:00 to 11:00 am  and transfer to the Kyaing Tong Domestic Airport for Yangon trip. And arrive in Yangon and take relax.

Overnight hotel in Yangon.

 

Day 06: Yangon sightseeing & departure (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, morning stop to take photo in the front of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s house area who got Nobel peace prize in 1991. Shopping atGems mart and Handicraft shops at Bogyoke (Scott) Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And visitKaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda and drive to Yangon International airport for departure. If time permit on the way visit to Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Laba Muni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi) and White Elephant camp and departure.
