Bamars Tribes

The Bamar people are recognized as a “major national ethnic race” comprising nine ethnic sub-groups. Myanmar language is widely use in the whole Myanmar and can be said also official language to communicate for every tribes.

Their daily life is based on Buddhist way of life. Some people belief on the local guardian sprit, ghost, fortune tellers astrologers, they co-operate on social welfare work. They share the inheritance to their children equally. Buddhism related festivals are held every month.


Rakhine Tribes

The Rakhine people are recognized as a “major national ethnic race” comprising seven ethnic sub-groups (Rakhine, Thet, Maramagyi, Dynet, Khami, Mro and Khamer).

They live in Sittwe, Mrauk U, Kyauk Phyu and Thandwe District in Rakhine State west part of Myanmar. Close to India and Bangladesh.

They are simple, easy to be content, friendly minded. Peace in mind.

Men practice the Tattoos on the body, Novice ceremony and other religious festival are same as Myanmar Buddhist. They use the long drum when held the novice ceremony. They sing the YaTu (typical ode on the season or love). They co-operate at social welfare.

The Rakhine water festival is famous for its joyful activities. They fill the water into a big long boat and throw the water both side of man and woman who row along the big boat.


Shan Tribes

The Shan are a people related to the Thai. The Shan are primary based in Shan State and number approximately six million. The Shan speak a language that is related to Thai and Lao. Most Shan are ardent Buddhists. The life of most communities is centered on the temple and its rituals.

The cultural heritage of the Shan is rich and unique. Agriculture is the Shan’s main focus, although other company professions include craft-making and shop-keeping.
